Used to ride HD in the late 70's ('77 XL-1000 & '79 FXE-1200).
Quit riding about 17 years ago but you know how it is - bikes get
"in your blood" so.....went looking for a new bike and the Savage
caught my eye. Drove a 2000 883 HD & was not impressed. Didn't seem
to handle or have the power my old HD's had. Drove a new Savage & bought
the darn thing.
Handling & power seemed much better than the HD (not to mention a lot
less $$).
I may move up to something else later but for now I'm having a great time
with the Savage!
